The Cambridge Chemistry Challenge (C3L6) is a global challenge for high school students co-sponsored by the
Department of Chemistry and St Catharine's College at the University of Cambridge. It is ofcially recommended by
the University of Cambridge as a high school academic program. C3L6 is a highly valued chemistry challenge for UK
high schools, with over 10,000 students participating each year, and is often used as a pre-test for the UKChO (UK
Chemistry Olympiad). It is aimed at high school students up to Year 11 and designed to extend chemistry knowledge
in a challenging but fun way.
C3L6 is based on A-level chemistry knowledge, but is more diffcult than A-level and examines students' ability to apply
their A-level chemistry knowledge in a exible way. It is a highly rewarding challenge for students who want to explore
the eld of Chemistry further and its results are highly sought after by the world's leading universities. In the UK, the
C3L6 invites no more than 60 top students each year to a residential camp at the University of Cambridge. Designed
and taught by Cambridge professors, the camp aims to enhance the academic ability of young elites in Chemistry and
to encourage and help outstanding students to understand and choose to study at Cambridge in the future.

The St Catharine's College, Cambridge Chemistry Camp is an annual chemistry camp organized for top students in the UK
who have received the C3L6 Roentgenium Award, representing approximately the top 0.7% of C3L6 achievers. The camp is
led by the renowned chemistry professor, Prof. Peter Woother, who serves as the head coach of the mentoring team. Due
to the rigorous selection criteria and high academic standards, most outstanding students who participate are admitted to
G5 universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, and Imperial College London in relevant majors.

Starting from 2024, St Catharine's College, University of Cambridge, in collaboration with ASEEDER, will selectively invite
35 students from China to participate in St Catharine's College, Cambridge Chemistry Camp. The camp aims to provide an
in-depth exploration of chemistry and an opportunity to learn about the university-level chemistry courses at Cambridge.
Selected participants will engage in discussions on cutting-edge theories, conduct hands-on experiments to verify
problem-solving approaches, and receive an official certificate from St Catharine's College. Participants will also stay in
dormitories at St Catharine's College, and experience the traditional formal gown dinner of the University of Cambridge.

The Cambridge Chemistry Challenge Camp (C3L6 China Camp) aims to provide an opportunity for outstanding students
who performed well in C3L6 to explore chemistry in-depth. Led by a team of professors from the C3L6, the camp brings
international top-level chemistry classes to students in China, allowing them to interact and exchange ideas with chemistry
elites from various schools across the country.
