Introduction

The Math Tournament at Berkeley is an organization that aims to spread the spirit of mathematical challenge throughout the Bay Area by presenting students with interesting, hand-crafted problems. We offer an environment where students, educators and mathematicians can come together and celebrate the spirit of mathematics.

5 members per team, mixed grade teams are acceptable

○ Competition Rules
  • Individual Round: Individual work, 20 questions, 60 minutes, This round will account for 40% of the overall score.
  • Relay Round ：Team work，20 questions, 40 minutes，questions feed into each other, requiring one to solved to solve another.This round will account for 10% of the overall score.
  • Team Round ：Team work, 20 question in 60 minutes. This round will account for 30% of the overall score.
  • Puzzle Round ：Team work，75 minutes(including 15 minutes reading time). This round will account for 20% of the overall score.
  • Tiebreaker ：3 Questions in 15 minutes. Only the top contestants in Individual Round will qualify. The rankings are based on the specific time when the correct answers are submitted.

REFUND POLICY
1, If you apply to refund from the date before the 60 calendar days of the camp, no registration fee will be deducted; 2, If your application date is between 60 days and 45 days, 25% of the registration fee will be deducted; 3, If your application date is between 45 days and 30 days, 50% of the registration fee will be deducted; 4, If your application date is between 30 days and 15 days, 75% of the registration fee will be deducted; 5, After the date 15 calendar days before the camp, you will no longer be eligible and won't be able to receive a refund.
