In the summer of 2025, ASEEDER and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) collborate to open an offline programme covering four NTU top-ranked subjects of Motor technology in EV, Material Chemistry, Robotic Sensing and Control and Business and Finance. ASEEDER students will be immersed in the NTU campus to explore the cutting-edge research topics and technological developments. They can expand their scope of knowledge, and strengthen their international outlook and cross-cultural communication skills under the guidance of tutors from NTU.

This programme is taught within the campus of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), with the four selected NTU top-ranked subjects. All program tutors are meticulously selected by NTU, who are distinguished faculty members from NTU's colleges. They are committed to guiding students through the intricacies of their research fields, providing insights into the latest technological research trends within the industry.

  Course Description  

 

Motor Technology in EV

As the key component of the electric and hybrid vehicle systems, development of electric motor drive has become a hot research topic. This lecture aims to introduce the fundamental knowledge of electric motor drive particularly on electric vehicles with a brief but comprehensive coverage of various topics.This lecture covers mainly three major parts, namely fundamentals of energy conversion, concepts of electric motor drives, and electric motor drives on electric and hybrid vehicles.

Material Chemistry

This course aims to provide a broad introduction to contemporary topics in materials science, with an emphasis on relating materials chemistry to their unique properties and real-world applications. Students will discuss fundamental chemistry governing the properties of various materials, and gain insights on current material-based technologies and research. Upon completing this course, students will be able to appreciate the importance of materials in our everyday lives and explain their working principles.

Robotic Sensing and Control

Sensors are an important component for robotic systems to obtain the conditions of the outside world and their own, an important interface for robots to connect with the external environment, and the basis for robots to move towards autonomy and intelligence. During this course, students will understand the development and application of intelligent sensing technology in the field of robotics. Students will be exposed to a broad range of topics in robotics and intelligent sensors, with emphasis on robot sensors basics, vision sensors, estimation using vision sensors, sensor integration and fusion, and visual servo control.

Business and Finance

This course intends to equip students with essential financial skills. At the same time, the course will introduce key techniques in brand marketing, and how financial technology is driving the industry. Students will master how to apply advanced management concepts and technology to drive business growth in the context of globalisation.

Students will engage in academic exploration within the NTU campus.

Gardens by the Bay: Home to nine themed gardens showcasing ora, known for its flower displays and dazzling light shows.
